Calibroom is a machine learning plugin developed for Unity. It allows a VR application to infer players cognitive abilities score based on their movement patterns.
Musemio is a Virtual Reality (VR) software company that develops new tools to understand user behaviours in immersive learning environments (ILE). “Calibroom”, our Unity plugin, is able to correlate users’ behaviours to their real-life learning performances in ILE and calibrate the experience with feedback about the user’s visual-spatial and processing speed abilities. It addresses immersive developers and designers needs to tailor ILE to the individual abilities of the user by producing scores that help determine if content should be made easier or more complex. By combining movement data with machine learning and a baseline cognitive abilities dataset, Calibroom is helping to advance the understanding of human-interaction within ILE at scale. Development has also generated an expandable dataset for further studies that can advance machine learning (ML) research fields and further integration of InteractML, a ML plugin for Unity3D, for visual interactive training models within Calibroom. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme through the XR4ALL project with grant agreement 825545
